Down to Earth Camp: Soil for Climate Action

Down to Earth Camp is a 5-day immersive experience for youth ready to explore how soil can be a powerful tool for climate action. Through hands-on learning, forest walks, and connection with like-minded peers, participants will gain practical knowledge in soil regeneration and leave seeing soil in a completely new way. • Understand the role of soil in climate change and carbon storage
• Learn how to identify soil health and improve it using regenerative methods
• Practice composting, biochar, and no-dig gardening
• Deepen your nature connection and ecological self-awareness
• Strengthen communication, group collaboration, and sustainability habits

Facilitators:

Annie Kukreja - is deeply passionate about addressing Thailand's PM2.5 air pollution and actively develops projects to tackle it. Committed to global climate change mitigation, she focuses on hands-on experience and sustainable development, striving to make a meaningful difference in environmental stewardship.

Eligibilities:

• 18 - 38 years old,
• Have an interest in climate, sustainability, farming, or just getting grounded
• Have open-minded,
• Have curiosity,
• Physically able to walk in forested areas
• Fluent in Thai language

Numbers of participants:

8 - 14 people

YEP-Academy provides the following needs:

• Camping/outdoor equipment and training materials,
• Facilitation costs,
• Overnight fees,
• Main Meals (for entire camp),
• First Aids,
• Insurance.

What's not included:

• Transportations to the first campsite(Pun Pun Organic Farm),
• Your stays and food before and after the actual camp.
