Basic Outdoor Skills

The basic outdoor skills training program is designed to inspire young adventurers to discover their potential in the outdoors, develop responsible camping habits, and foster meaningful friendships with like-minded peers. Through hands-on activities and guided experiences, participants will gain practical skills and confidence to explore nature safely and responsibly.  

• Discover your outdoor potential: identify personal strengths and abilities i outdoor settings.
• Become a responsible camper: learn sustainable and safe camping practices.  
• Build connections: develop friendships with peers who share similar values and interests.

Facilitators:

Sophanuth Chea: A passionate outdoor educator dedicated to helping young people building confidence, resilience, and responsibility in nature. With years of experience leading hikes, camping trips, and skill development programs across Cambodia, he focuses on practical learning, safety, and character-building.

Eligibilities:

• Between 18 and 35 of age,
• Passionate on outdoor activities,
• Love the nature and the relevant challenges,
• Good physical fitness: you need to be able to hike 6 - 8 hours per day and carrying your own backpack,
• No prior outdoor experience required.

Number of participants:

8 - 20 people

What's included:

• Facilitation costs,
• National Park fees,
• Fees for renting equipment,
• Food (for entire camp),
• First Aid set,
• Insurance.

What's not included:

• Travel to/from meeting point,
• Visa fees, vaccinations,
• Personal outdoor equipment,
• Personal Medication,
• Breakfast on the first day & dinner on the last day.
